Project Background:

This customer is from USA, the part is designed during the COVID for protective product,we are urgently pushing it forward to make the mold and get the T1 samples. Sent the pictures and videos on the Skype to check and confirm.Usually, it will take 4 weeks to finish a mold at least, but to short the time, we finished this mold within 15 days, as it is really too urgent during the specical difficult time.

Mold DFM Report Review:

When got the order from customer, our engineers will fully analysis part as per the requirements, then make and send the customer DFM report for checking ans confirmation.

DFM Report is including the following details usually : 

1.Injection gate location, gate type

2.PL(Part Line)

3.Ejector type and location

4.Extra Mold Structures and Jointlines,such as lifter ,slider,

5.Thickness analysis(it is to check whether there will be the shinkage or not)

6.Draft Angle,to guarantee the part can demould ,will not be scratched when demould.

7.Surface Finishing areas.

DFM report is most important step,can save much time during the 3D mold design, when design the 3D mold, we just only regarding the confrimed DFM details.Of course, if customers have the other comments,we will modify as their requirements to meet their performance.  

In fact, it was very smooth for us to make this part,as I said,before we confirmed the DFM report, when designing 3D mold and making mold are very smoothly, so we saved much time.
